    Hello Everyone,

I'm new to the forum and fairly new to collecting.

I wish to post images of three items I purchased this morning at a militaria sale in my village. I know they should be in a category but I'm not sure exactly what I purchased.

Can someone give me a clue what they are called and 'if' they might be real?

Item 2. A badge for a cap? - paid 10€... I think German wartime police badge? Quite lightweight and no maker marks..

It is indeed a polizei cap badge, 2nd pattern to be specific. It looks authentic to me, and 10 Euro is a good price.

Seems you've done well with this one, at least! Have you posted the other two yet?

Hell BB... the other two items posted.. It seems one was real and the other a hybrid with a post war lanyars on a WW2 badge.. I think I did okay over but I took a hit on the 2 Mutterkreuz I purchased - one real and one fake... I have learned a lot about Mutterkreuzes now...

Also did well on a Imperial German belt buckle for 10€ - missing a pin but otherwise a nice piece
