It is an original State Employees armband.
Cheers, Ade.
Some people have told me that its a non-combat wermacht armband or is that the same thing, sorry im very new to collecting. I appreciate all your help. Do you know what the stamps mean?
It has nothing to do with Armed Forces. These were simply worn by Govt employees as humble as a street sweeper.
The ink stamps are just too faded to read. But they will be stamps to show the item is officially inspected and belonged to a certain dept or locality.
Cheers, Ade.
Ade is on the money - it's a state service armband. The stamps can also tell where teh armband was issued as the name of the town/city is usually stamped there....but these are pretty faded. Nice armband!
Careful - these get addictive!
