Hello Castle,
well it is a design I haven't seen before and I suppose the good news is I also haven't heard or seen anything coming from the East with that design.
It looks quite high quality and certainly unused.
So I would give it a tentative thumbs up
Cheers
Doug
there is one mentioned in the deeter odegard gorget book but they say research has not been done to confirm authenticity. i wonder if mr. saris has seen one...thanks
Certainly if Wim has seen one well it's going to have to be good
I think because of the rarity of the piece it has got to be a goer
Is there any chance you can get some better quality pictures of the stamps on the uniform tang?
The ones you show are pretty poor but from what I can see it looks like a Wurster logo
Win has a 700+ page book on gorgets. If this is real I am sure he coveres it. It looks original.
I contacted Wim and he is away from home until the beginning of December. As he can not reference his library, he suggested that possibly a member who has his book can print out the information dealing with this gorget. As I do not have a copy of this book, I am no help.

I also am not familiar with this gorget. It appears very well made. I presume Wim will weigh in on this piece in a couple of weeks when he returns home.

Personally, I have never seen one like it, but I like this one. It is extremely well made-something you would expect to see with such a piece. I don't have a copy of the Saris book either, but I have a feeling that this one will not be a disappointment.

Hello gentlemen,
On page 265 of Mr. Saris' most excellent book "Ringkragen und Brustschilder im Dritten Reich", shows a photo of the front and rear, minus the felt, of the NSKK gorget in question.
Disclaimer: I am only sharing the page from Mr. Saris' book and can not comment on the originality of the gorget that appears at the start this thread.
I hope that this is helpful to all.
