Hi all can I possibly have some thoughts about this Gau abzeichen please?
Would really appreciate any information. Cheers. I know the pics aren't great but there all I have ..

I'm no expert on these Ian but it looks quite convincing to me.
I have seen examples of copies but I don't know of any that have been made recently but I am sure they are out there.
I know there were different variations either painted or enamelled. One I know of had the 800 silver mark removed as it was not silver.
Any provenance with the badge?
Certainly an interesting badge.

Hi Doug cheers for the reply . No provenance with it have been after one for a long time. Have been researching as much as I can but just wanted an opinion mate.

It's a good one! It is the painted version and it looks like it has been repainted.

The cheaper one is a fake. The rivets are cast with the rest.
