Sorry for the late reply, it looks original and the pin holder has been broken off, the lighting isn't the best, what is the actual color ?

Ok, with the better lighting I can now see exactly what is going on here, it has been massively repaired at some time..

It is common to see repairs on these as the pin attachment wasn't the best to begin with..

I would put that in my collection just for the simple fact it is a great conversation piece and a one of a kind specimen, someone went to a lot of trouble to fix it.
