SA Kepi badge thoughts?

Recently bought this SA kepi badge. Is there any ways of determining genuine ones? It isn’t maker marked but were some stamped by maker ? These are the best photos I can get until my camera battery is charged.

Some were stamped mostly the earlier versions. They are often referred to as model 1927 or 1929 NSDAP eagles. Yours looks like it has re-soldered pins, they usually have blunt prongs. here are some of mine for visual comparison. Note the variety

I am curious if this type was used for more than just the SA ?

Absolutely, it certainly shows up on many earlier SS caps. I have one example in my collection but there are abundant caps sporting this early eagle

This is what made me think it was perhaps not genuine as I can’t seem to find and photos with similar pins. I’d like to think if they aren’t the original pins that they might at least be period applied but I suppose I’ll never know.

Still one of the more economic TR pieces out there for some reason. I personally like the earlier pieces more than the later wartime insignia.

Nice collection Aldo. Would you say the one I posted was an original but perhaps with newly soldered pins?
