The shoulder strap is for the the DJ (Jungvolk), not HJ. And it matches the sleeve insignia (DJ from Obberbann Sud-Ost, Gebiet 29 Oberdonau).

Should I strip the uniform, or was it done in the time to re-use your father his SA-uniform for the Hitlerjugend?
Willem
i thought early sa ss hj were all the same just different insignia applied. weren't they leftover ww1 tropical uniforms? i might be totally wrong but i know i read it in a book or online not sure.
Sorry, I can not comment on the issue of removing the insignia. Tunics and jackets are not what I have knowledge about. But I am sure others will help you with that.
Stig
Is the silver triangel not for the BDM?
You are correct. Sorry, I did not notice that.
Stig
So the vest is SA, the shoulderboard is DJ, the triangel is BDM.
Did the HJ use SA uniforms? When did they sew the insignia on this uniform? Does it belong together, or do I strip it?
That is what I would like to know.
Thanks in advance for the efforts you make!
I would not disregard this yet. NSKK and SA stuff got mixed and matched. Maybe some HJ troup leader would wear his SA uniform because of "fit". There are so many exceptions to the rule.
