Wonderful find ..and it is a rare badge.
Unfortunately , it is a ground dug example but interesting no less.
Here is my example for comparison . That stylized Ges. Geschützt on the reverse is only seen on this 1938 Sudetenland badge and German patriotic badges from World War One as far as I have seen . I have been searching for the maker identity for a few years but to no avail.

Yes Doug , more like a tinnie with a sympathizer roundel attached .
You see them posted time to time but not a common badge to find in the wild .

The hinge mounting on the pin is quite unusual it looks more like a jewellery mount and quite fragile.
I assume it is a pin with hole mounting and the hinge is crimped in to place?
Another first for me
