Skull Stickpin

I just acquired a new skull stickpin. This could be anything including non military related but I feel it's a period piece from 1920's through TR era. It evokes images of Freikorps or perhaps just civilian fraternal groups. It's a nice crisp little badge soldered onto a knurled stickpin. Whatever it is I like it, it fits in well with my Kav 5 / Panzer tradition and Brunswick stickpins.
