Volksstrum Uniforms?
Hey guys I was wanting to know if the Volksstrum had uniforms, or at least a set uniform. You see a lot of pictures with conscripted Germans in civilian clothing and I wondered that late in the war would there have actually been a pattern the German Army would have used? I have several of the Volksstrum bands in my collection, the typical ones you see but I don't recall seeing them on an actual standard uniform. Sorry if this question sounds stupid to the already well educated.
I'm not so familiar with Volkssturm, but I think they used mixed uniforms with Volkssturm collar tabs

Thanks for a heads up! It's a start in the right direction. Is there a book on the Volksstrum that would encompass their uniforms and equipment, or that of which they had that is.

At the end of the war, only officers had uniforms.

Volkssturm members used all that they could trade!
Civil clothes, paramilitary uniforms, army (Heer, KM and LW) uniforms and sometimes WSS uniform...
Here is two creations in my collection, with textbook paramilitary uniform (HJ and Political Leader).

Those uniforms are great. I knew about the pictures you see of the volksstrum in civilian clothing. That's what led me to ask if there was a set uniform for them.

Volkssturm Mantel
This is my Volkssturm Coat. A late war PL Great Coat for Ortsgruppe Political Leader Candidate with Volkssturm Armband.
I can also recommend Hitlers Last Levy by Hans Kissel.
I like that setup. I would love to have a great coat for my collection.
