Whats the best best way to test for a fake?
What happens with a black light?
the burn test is another one that isn't fool proof - but does help. Modern thread composite does have some plastic in it....older armbands don't. Find a thread and burn it. It should go "poof". If it doesn't - or if you get smoke.....then it's a repro. That said - some repros use proper cotton thread so this is not the "be all / end all" test (like black light).
Best advice - learn to recognize real pieces from bad. This takes time but it's "do-able"....plus you have this forum to help out too.
Lots of old salts here that are willing to help!
Cheers!

Thanx again for the great advise. Your help is priceless.
These guys really help but the final choice is yours alone. Try to get the best possible pictures always!!!! By time you will get to know alot of fakes by first sight. Buy from reliable partners.
