    I'm not a uniform /armband collector but the NSDAP tunic I have, the armband it tack stitched.

    Sometimes as MAP says tacked stitched in place, other times the armband was fitted to be just tight enough around the sleeve to stay in place without slipping down. I have even seen press studs fitted but this is not common.
