NSDAP kampfbinde for consideration please

Hi all. Picked this up today; I believe it to be authentic but would like some confirmation from the experts. Although it doesn’t have the zigzag stitch, it doesn’t glow under black light; is four piece construction (2X swas, field, and band); and smells old. Materials appear correct to me, although it is very lightweight. Possibly unissued late war band?

Any input greatly appreciated.

What can make authentication so difficult is the fact that in the early years of the National Socialist party, most, if not all, members where making their own armbands. I would also imagine that there were sewing circles consisting of SA sweethearts that sat around making armbands and discussing their husbands latest wounds obtained from fighting the local Reds. / For sure, there existed some "funky" armbands...

Up until the death of Ernst Rohm in 1934, and for some time after, many SA were still wearing non-controlled RZM products. I could be wrong, but I believe that it was toward the end of 1934 when the RZM took over official production. As you can imagine, it took some time to sort things out and get everyone into their new crisp armbands.

.. So, who really knows? Do you have an imitation post-war armband, or are you the proud owner of an early authentic NSDAP one? / If you are really interested, or plan on trying to collect early armbands, there are people who for a living authenticate antique clothing, cloth. They use microscopes and other little tricks of the trade to tell if what you have is from 1925, or 1955.
