Yes.. that's the important question..would a low number party member have let a Jeweller grind off a digit on his prestigious award ..
any idea who owned this during the era?

I don't know if it is though , my thoughts are. would a jeweller cover someone's number over ..I'd be pixxed if I took it to be professionally adapted and they covered up my proof of kinda low membership, or is it simply placed next to 4 digits as it was originally issued
