Goldenes Parteiabzeichen Opinions

Dear Members,

The Goldenes Parteiabzeichen is a subject of interest to me and I have a few in my collection. Having examined and handled many original examples during my collecting years I can confirm this one to be a very sound and a well preserved original of the uniform pin type.

My list of named recipients unfortunately does not contain the number 44453. For several years I have made a study of documents, books and contemporary journals for party member numbers of those who were awarded this badge.

Here are a couple of mine for comparison. These two 30.5 mm diameter badges are both made by Deschler, who you probably know had the monopoly on large badge manufacture. The two types of 'official' pin are shown.

In addition of course there are known original 'unofficial' reverse fittings to the large and small versions of this award, which include button hole attachments and some recipients also had screw backs fitted for uniform wear.

Thanks Larry, I tried retracing my steps but alas I couldn't find it so I must not have actually replied to the lost thread. Don't know how I made the error, but hey, there will be others !
