Nice original Badge IMO. Maker is Karl Friedrich Schenkel, Pforzheim.
thanks for the input.
I have seen some M1/128 badges, but "RZM" and "M1/128" were always found on opposite sides on the original badges. On the veriified M1/128 fakes, RZM+M1/128 is often stamped solely on the lower half. this does not have to mean much, as different ways of stamping were not uncommen, still I am uncertain if this badge is original, also the font/style is not the one usually found on M1/128. I think more research is needed. PS: Is it really an "8"? It looks a bit like "126".
I, personally, would not be comfortable with this pin. M1/128 has been reproduced but the culprit is the attachment plate which is marked P. Schulze & Co. Your lapel badge might be okay but then I would have to convince myself that some badges marked M1/128 are fake while others are not. Second, I'm not sure the verdigris is real or an attempt to deceive the buyer into believing it is older than it really is. Third, Under the highest magnification on my computer I was only able to see black flecks in the white background. I do concur with'Bloodyamon' above - more research is needed. Also, that really is a funky-looking '8'.
