As the gentlemen have said, not a good badge, sorry. The curvature alone, is a red flag. Here's a comparison in curvature between a fake simililar to yours and an authentic badge. You can see how concave the fake is, and how flat the authentic badge is. I hope you find a good one next time, you will enjoy it
I found the "McFake" at a military show a week ago. The owner knew it was fake and sold it for $3. An appropriate price!

In this world there's two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig. CE
I thought we spoke about it before and also looked for it but didn't find it.
It's a great piece, shame about rougher condition, but good for a dug piece. Ges Gesch written in full on the pin plate is not common at all, so a more desireable piece. It also looks completely flat, dating it to the early/mid 1920's, I recently posted a similar flat piece. The font isn't early 20's but I'm still studying this facet of badges. Definately German, not an Austrian badge. As more info is gathered, it'll be shared. Nice piece Glenn66, I hope you plan to hold onto it.

I'm not letting this piece go, it's one of my favorites!

G'day boys, Green your collection of badges looks terrific! They really do look good in a group.
Glenn, I would have your Stalingrad badge in a shot, if it were mine I would be hanging onto it also!
