The blade, grip and fittings look good to me. GAU stamp is missing one the lower crossguard which you would expect on early dagger but anyways. Dagger has a nice homogeneous patina on it.

But the chain maker M5/25 (Christian Theodor Dicke, Lüdenscheid) is a rare one with nearly no reference material. At least i don`t have any. You can see the horseshoes on the chain links but there are only round drillholes. Maybe some more experienced collectors can help with this one.

Hi Jensson. Better stay that dagger where it is.

Chain is fake. Dagger is real, but parts don't belong together originally

I agree with finngail I'm seeing a mixture of early and later pieces. Early blade, plated crossguard dome head screws ect.

I agree the chain is fake and the grip wood is questionable ...as stated by the gents above leave it where it sits.

Easy spot on the chain, round holes in the links on the back, instead of the horseshoe shaped holes, double marked links and an oversized RZM mark on the 2nd link, not to mention the rzm marking upfront on the top clip, hahahaha..
This one was an easy one to spot, there are way better fakes around these days.

Thank you all for your opinions. I stayed that dagger where it was. Too many red flags unfortunately...
