Very Very Nice I love the handle, is this a known trate of the this maker? Just an all around great dagger.
Hi Ray great question but ( if you are referring to the striping) it is more common with SA men and not with the makers. To see this type of striping was done by the SA mann Himself with the use of a candle or a small flame. The SA Mann would hold the grip above the flame and turning it evenly to leave behind a striping effect,, or what most collector call "Tiger striping". I highly discourage this practice today as the wood and the stains have changed over 70 years,, and the same effect will be highly detectable if it were done recently.
If someone can post a few photos of a "Tiger stripe" SA dagger,, I would appreciate it,,I have some temporary issues on my end, that will not allow me to upload photos. Regards Larry
Thanks Larry. That is very interesting i thought that it was something from the manuf. good info!!!!
