Forestry officers buckle
I am new to collecting forestry and there are no texts out on the subject. I am interested in this buckle but it looks like a regular modified officers assman. Would it be modified postwar or a period modification for a higher rank?

Ben that looks a strange buckle to me, the leather belt from what I can see looks post war, the buckle looks original from the pics but another eagle has been added at some point, strange!!!

I don't like the looks of this whole rig. I agree 100% with Ben E.(and He should know!) that the belt is certainly newer and the buckle doesn't look at all correct. I would Not want this one in my collection.

Looks like someone took a railroad eagle and added it to what I would guess was a denazified buckle. Post war belt.
