This form of "twin claw open frame" buckle is almost generic and I think that in many instances, it is somewhat difficult to establish a date as when actually manufactured and if pre 1945, the user specific organisation. I cannot see any markings on the buckle frame. Are there any markings on the leather strap or the leather slider perhaps?
This form of quick release open frame buckle and which I think is sometimes referred to as cavalry or mounted troops associated, was manufactured pre and post 1945 and attached are some images from NSDAP era catalogues.
