Guards soldier Loginov, Pyotr Gurevich was born in 1906, in the village of Gubenshchina in Belarus. He was in the Red Army since June 1941, and at the time of his awarding, he was a private, in the 275th rifle regiment, 91st Guards Division, 3rd Belorussian Front. In the battles of July 10th and 11th Pyotr repulsed three German counterattack, killing 20 German soldiers in the process, earning him this Order of the Red Star.
In the battle outside the city of Chausy, Mogilev Oblast, he suffered a severe wound in the left arm, and in battle on the Neman river in Poland suffered a severe wound in the throat, causing him difficulty in speaking for the rest of his life.
