    So, this one is from a Russian archive with some of the pictures of the "owner". He was taken by SMERSH in Czech in 1945 year as a spy. The order is made by the German intilligence, as it's written in the top secret SMERSH expertise

    Dimas, do you know what happened to the guy? Was he "disposed of" (shot)

    It was very fat case, and as I remember the owner got 25 years GULAG... But was not shot...

    He sounds jolly lucky to me, this is a most interesting case, and one that ignites my thesis based mind (it's eating into me as we speak :-) ). The Germans obviously thought it important to make this medal (odd seeing as I'm sure the captured prisoners/dead would have yielded a fair few), I wonder if they made others????......BTW thanks for the PM's Dimas.....
