Short, concrete description of his combat feat or merits:
Comrade Stochenko has been serving in the Red Army for eight years and has been participating in the Patriotic War since its beginning. Throughout this period he repeatedly displayed bravery, resourcefulness, and courage while participating in combat operations.
During one battle, while he was returning from the front line, his truck with film equipment was ambushed by the enemy. Without panicking comrade Stochenko engaged in battle. He accelerated his car and with his submachine gun he killed two officers, while the others ran away. Consequently the film equipment was transported safely.
For bravery and courage displayed in combat with the German invaders comrade Stochenko deserves the Order of the Red Star.
