Short description of personal combat feat or accomplishment
While in the regiment Corporal Baibus has proven himself a brave and valorous warrior. He is one of the best gunners in the battery. He has shot down seven even aircraft to his credit. He displayed exceptional bravery and valor during the last offensive. While fighting for Khlebichov on 17th April, 1945 when the gun system was being deployed, the gun commander was killed by directly observed enemy mortar fire. Corporal Baibus displayed initiative to assume command and quickly opened up with intensive fire. In this engagement the gun destroyed two enemy firing positions, an observation post, and as many as 15 enemy soldiers.
