Short description of personal combat feat or accomplishment
Comrade Roi has been active participant of much fighting against the German invaders. During offensive operations 22-30 November, 1943 he displayed courage and steadfastness. In fighting for the population areas of Studenets, Koselyatskii, Rogozil, and Voznesevsk of the Kormyanskii Region, Comrade Roi led subordinate units in an organized manner in combat and situated himself the entire time in the subordinate units’ fighting formation, setting the example of valor and bravery thus motivating the soldiers and officers to the accomplishment of their assigned mission.
During the capture of Koraga Comrade Roi boldly led the subordinate units into combat from the enemy’s flank and with reconnaissance was the first to advance into the population center when in street fighting he personally killed two Germans. Comrade Roi has good experience in offensive combat which brought success in the most recent engagements.
For displayed courage and bravery and for capable leadership of subordinate units in combat against the German occupiers, he is deserving of the Order of the Red Star.
