This distinctive type of catch (colloquially known as the "Souval claw") is found on post-war badges made by Rudolf Souval and was not used on any badge or decoration prior to the end of the war.
(Due to their good quality and the fact that this was a legitimate manufacturer in the Third Reich, Souval's post-war-made badges are actually considered collectible in their own right by some collectors, but of course they should not be bought for the price of the wartime ones.)
