Black shooting cord
This is my first post on this forum. Not to long ago I ran into a shooting cord. The wool backing on the back happened to be black. Would this mean the shooting cord was used by the SS or Panzer troops. Or could the backing just be replacement. Any thoughts would be helpful

Re: Black shooting cord
Hi Sean, not something I have seen before. I would be more tempted to say replacement than anything else.
Cheers, Ade.

Re: Black shooting cord
No SS connection in any case. The SS did not have marksmanship lanyards of its own, and SS Men who had qualified for a marksmanship lanyard while serving in the armed forces were not allowed to wear it with their SS uniform.
