If the specialists like Matthew have no problem with the catch, then, as far as I can make of it, the rest of it looks fine to me. Not an easy or inexpensive badge to find! Good pick up!

Both hinge and catch shape are 100% correct for Deschler from looking at examples in my records. Well done Anzel, and thanks Matt for the enlightening education.

We shall stick it out to the end, but we are getting weaker of course, and the end cannot be far.
It seems a pity, but I do not think I can write more. R. SCOTT.

Thanks to all for sharing your knowledge and time on this one. I started collecting when I was very young 13 or 14 and then other things like girls, hockey, friends ect side tracked me soon after. I had a great local dealer on Sundays save a few choice items for me which he would sell me before the other older guys grabbed them. Come to find out he sold me some nice stuff at very good prices. I trusted him very much and I suppose he could have taken advantage of me because of my lack of knowledge but he did not. I saw one of these he had many years ago and always thought they were very impressive in design. The one he had sold very quickly and I remembered started a commotion with the "SS buyer guy" and another guy I saw a lot there. Sorry for the memory lane tour but this is a classic "finally got one"'moment for me !!!!
