Is this mother's cross in gold original?
the back is different

It looks real to me, but like you say, the back looks different. It could be that the finish on the reverse is slowly fading or being absorbed. I have a gold wound badge that is in that state

The obverse looks good but, I have a number of Mutterkreuz in my collection, and not one has a reverse like this.
I would wait for a more typical example if I were you.
