Hello All,A friend brought this by the other day for me to look at I am familiar with the "Fat Pin" repros but have never encountered this type of pin before??
I know there have been various post war reproductions but would like some opinions on whether or not this is a known attachment devise or one of the repro types.

Not an attachment method I would expect to see on this award.
Possible replacement, or, complete fake.
I don't think they would be RZM, and maker marked.

Thank you Ralph "I don't think they would be RZM, and maker marked." I have heard the same information, as well as the Umlaut missing the "Dots" but cannot attest to whether or not these traits are confirmed.
