looks a god tombac High seas fleet by schwerin, Wish the pictures were sharper. The hinge pin is the opposite way round to what is commonly found but i'm sure thats just an anomoly. Well worth the money imo. Regards paul

alright, thanks for the info, might consider grabbing this then, from what I can tell these can vary heavily in price depending on condition, so for 150 it seems like a steal

Aight, in general if they are cleaned and polished, does it affect anything, like value or quality etc?
A cleaned and polished badge would be worth less than one in original condition. However, for €150 I would still buy it.
Perhaps photos in natural light would be better as the flash does distort things.
I see, yea if i end up getting it, I could send a pic of it in natural light to this thread, have you ppl's expert analyze it
Theres a mint one for sale on Giels militaria at the moment for a stonking 1500 euro!
And that's the reason I don't own one. I've not seen that example but I've seen them priced at the thick end of £1000 and that's just ridiculous.
An item is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it but there's no way any sane person will be paying that amount.
