Good afternoon gents,

Here is a recent acquisition that I am rather pleased with and so thought I might show it for critique here. I have always liked this series of clasps which many collectors seem to regard less enthusiastically than the army or navy combat awards for some reason. Yes, being a "puddle splasher" of a foot soldier has it's issues (I know I was one) but I must say that to my mind flying straight and level through a hail of hot metal hurled up by frantic AA gunners leaves me less than enthusiastic at the thought!! Anyway, until recently I had only a silver recce clasp in my collection and it has no case so this one is a nice addition. I hope you like it as much as I do

That is a nice early tombak piece, unattributed but it would have to be a Junker or Assmann.
I guess this was put back in the case when the silver and gold came along.

I'd have this one in my collection in a flash
