Heer Flak Badges marked L/5?
Hi guys,
From what I have researched, army flak badges with various L/# marks should be avoided. I am correct in thinking that L/5 is Hermann Wernstein? Did they make these badges?
If anyone has an original L/5 I would be interested in seeing it.
Thanks,
Mo

Re: Heer Flak Badges marked L/5?
Hi Mo.
L/5 is not Wernstein. Wernstein were given the PKZ number '5' and their LDO number is L/17. The lowest LDO number is L/10 and it was given to Deschler so there should be no original badge marked L/5.
I don't think Wernstein made the Heer Flakkampfabzeichen, I certainly haven't been able to find any examples. Some Flak badges were purchased in LDO cellophane packets but any badge marked with an LDO number should be viewed with suspicion.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

Re: Heer Flak Badges marked L/5?
I think I will pass on the badge in question then. I was not able to get any pictures of it but the FlaK 36 details were too soft and with the whole L/5 thing obviously isn't right.
Thanks for your help again!
