Good sunday gentleman, I hope everyone is enjoying this warm weekend.
Would like to authenticate this award with help of Yours . Also who is the manufacturer of it? Is it Steinhauer & Lück, Lüdenscheid?

Peter

Hi Peter,
Whilst I don't claim expertise concerning these I have to say that I am not keen on this one.
The first thing that jumped out at me was the absence of central ridges on the breast feathers which all of these should have and even when worn they should still be visible.
I can't make out the rivets of the carriage which is a major distinguising feature between S&L and Juncker so a better picture would be good.
The detail of the talons seems worn to a greater degree than the rest of the badge.
However, from these pics I think that both obverse and reverse seem to show the appearance of casting and the reverse in particular seems a bit "rounded" at the edges.
Also, the catch looks odd to me. It is at first glance the flat wire type but that central line makes it look like two pieces stuck together.
I am happy to be corrected here but this is not one I would want in my collection.
Is it yours?
Let's see what others who specialise in these think about it.
Regards
Mark
PS I suspect that a clear picture with no shadow will make this one look even worse. Thinking more about it I don't think is even a copy of an existing type. Rather it is a "Fantasy piece"

I agree with Mark , not a good one . The base is a mess with no rivets , bad lines , oak leaves on the top left a mess not counting what Mark said on the eagle .
Looks like a cast piece
I agree with Mark's assessment. I know of no valid original without the central ridges on the breast feathers. Plus other details he pointed out.
