How do you like this badge?

I don't know if this is catagorized as a "tinnie" It is a very substantial, well made badge. I like it a lot, so I thought I'd share it with you. I assume it is porcelin or "cloissone"

It may, indeed, be a fantasy piece. I am no expert, but it is the absolutely BEST fantasy badge I have ever seen. The workmanship & materials used in construction are all top rate!

There seems to be a LOT of these type of enamel badges appearing,
with airships, Olympic themes, and the like........ I'm certain a lot of HJ
trade competition badges are fakes too ! -"Gausieger 1939" etc.
( Usually with "H. Aurich" logos or "G. Bremner, Markneukirchen",
with a different type of catch ! )

Where were all these badges 10 or 15 years ago ? ? ?

I never saw one anywhere, except in books, up until the last
couple of years...............Now I see them at every show
and in every antique mall - Just like the proliferation of SS silver
rings from central Europe ! ! !

If I were making up bogus badges I would make several 100 of them. I would not go to the considerable expense of tooling just to produce 1 or 2 badges. I am sure these fakers feel the same way. Since nobody has seen this badge before perhaps it is because it is VERY Rare. The fact that it is in excellent condition means nothing. I have LOTS of genuine WW 2 Nazi relics in excellent condition. This is just my opinion - I could be wrong.

All the badges I've seen of this sort always have the exact same colouring in metals and enameling. and I suspect they all may be manufactured in the same location.

Most TR material has also been documented for over half a century and in none of the plethora of publications have I seen this particular pin...........which raises a red flag, IMO.

( I'd now like to take the camera with me to every militaria
show I attend, and photograph all these "new" types of
badges. I'll post these findings for future reference. )
