That is a "Day badge" There was a set of them, don't remember how many, but around 6 or 7. Not fantastically expensive, about £20 but nice when they are in the set
Thanks for your reply, but what is a "Day badge"?
Greets.
I´m not sure, but I think that theese badges were made to support and promote army. Like Winterhilfswerk...
We had thise collector from Luxembourg, lately, showing his enormous collection of those WH items, among other nice things...I can't recall his name !!
This is actually not a day badge, but WHW (Winterhilfswerk) badge - WHW was an organisation collecting money for poor families and other charity reasons, whoever made a donation, got some badge, chrismass tree hanger, small figure and stuff like that.
Day badges were badges (tinnies) that were sold or given on certain occasions, like celebrations, public events etc., as a souvenir, or in return for small donation like WHW.
Hello
Your pin is from WHW and belongs to his series of 20 piece it was sold of whw to the day of the armed forces to 16 and 17 March 1940 by those NSKOV , DRK , NSRKB , RTB
there were also still nearly same series in this time
regards
Guy from Luxemburg
