I don't profess to be an expert on these. Just what I read in my reference books, but unless there is a variation that I'm not aware of, Friedrich Orth awards should have a horizontal pin/catch. Not vertical.

So a thumbs down for me.

Edit/Correction: I should have studied a bit more. NormF's classification system does mention a vertical pin set up. With an "O" on the left side of the wreath on the reverse. Never having seen on in person however, I'm not qualified to comment. Hopefully Norm, Martin or others will see this and opine.

From what i see i think that is a good and uncommon variant of the FO badge with the vertical pin.

I like the overall look of the badge and it looks period to me.

Again,better and more detailed images are always of help when posting.
