Luftschutz medal bar

Bought this 3er spange last week.

The parade mount style is known as the Bavarian Trapezoid and was probably one of the cheapest way for the recipient to have a medal bar constructed. No padding behind the ribbons and the medals are simply clipped via hooks on the reverse.

This one belonged to a WW1 veteran who was probably an enlisted man/junior NCO in the Luftschutz.

The order of the awards is not strictly as per regulations but it makes for a nice bar nonetheless.

Nice bar Jamie, I have a 2er with an imperial EK2 & a Hindenberg cross (ldeal for an Sa dagger display) never heard the term Bavarian trapeziod before (Brazilian yes lol) learn something new every day.Thanks for showing, Regards Paul

Yes I'd prefer a Brazilian to a Bavarian any day methinks!!!!

Until I started reading up on the different parade bar types I'd not heard of this either, but I suppose, they've got to put a name to everything!
