I have this early Cupertino/ Nickel Assamese marked Observers badge. I understand it to be the pattern 1936 , and extremely heavy construction.

IMO this is not a Assmann eagle or wreath and the hardware and rivets are wrong to boot .

I fully see your point. My understanding is that it’s a very early piece, and the transition to the tombak pieces was quick. I also haven’t seen a Assman construction in this manner, but it’s a Cupero construct
