LW Gold Marksman Lanyard

I had this Luftwaffe Shutzenschnur in gold for many yearsand always wondered
why it was all gold. Heard about an all gold Panzer . Does anyone have any info
on these odd marksmanship lanyards?

Adrian . . . the only fully gold Schutzenschnur I recall was in a post war
German book and it was for panzer troops. I sold my several WWII
Germany long arms and ordnance as well as flare gun items a little
over a year ago, but, of course, still maintain an interest.
