Basically there are 7 known variants of straight G memel medals, yours resembles what some collectors call a type 7 (as defined by Antonio Scapinis excellent book on the subject) the picture i posted is of a genuine Type 7. the difference in quality and appearance is clear so yes the one you posted is a fake, sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
