    Hi guys
I know these are pretty common items and nothing compared to some of the great cased awards that some of you guys have.
Anyway I picked these up last week very very cheap and am really chuffed with them. You can see that the silver cross is not the same maker as the gold.
I don’t know if they have always been together, but sure looks like it.
The only little concern I have is that the makers name hasn’t got the same shape of letters as the example shown on Adrians link above Das Ehrenkreuz der Deutschen Mutter.
No one in this house appreciates them so I thought I would show you guys.
    Thanks
    Rod

Congratulations on your first case Rod! Even better that you got two crosses in there. There's nothing wrong with the makers mark as far as I can see. The one on the Mutterkreuz website has been stretched or mis-stamped so there's nothing to worry about.

Thank you for posting your new acquisition(s).

    Thanks guys
It was just like the way the “W” on mine looks like two Vs crossing each other.
Adrian I would like to see your collection of these, have you ever posted them together? If so could you give me a link please.
Now i have three gold’s and three silvers and one damaged bronze, there something about them I find attractive,
Mind you these poor women deserved a medal for having eight kids.
    Thanks
    Rod

    Hi Rod,

I appreciate your interest in my collection, I have posted a group shot (as it was a year or two ago) here: Mutterkreuz Collection.

There is another item here: Mutterkreuz Regulation Sheet. There is also a link to the translation within the thread.

A clasp here: Mutterkreuz Clasp in bronze.

Some half size crosses here: Half size Mutterkreuz.

And some mint examples here: Deschler Hoard Mutterkreuz.

Congrats Rod! Cased awards become quite addictive ! Maybe try for a cased Sudetenland medal, they are low cost and plentiful.
