I received this NSDAP 10 Years Service Medal, it's made from a very light metal. Don't seems to me Tombak or Zinc, may be Cupal. Some opinions will be wellcome.

detail looks way too soft to me, compare

May be softer details in my 1st pictures was a light effect, these shots was taken under natural light.
Here a couple of pictures taken under flash light, I think details looks more sharp.
I agree, peeble area in your medal looks more definable, but I observed some variations in peeble area in another medals like sample below. I think there are some makers diferences between medals.
A detail I observed now, it's ring is marked #14 - L. Chr. Lauer Nurnberg-W

Well it just goes to show how photos bring out the best, and worst in any item. That's why it is important to take the best you can first time around.................................Agree, nice original
