    I have had this Police cross since last year. When I bought it, it was described as an 18yr service cross and therefore would be silver.

    It was grubby/heavily patina'd so today I gave it a light clean and now that some of the dirt has been removed I am unsure whether it is an 18 year cross as it looks a bit gold in colour.

    Might it be a 25 or is it still an 18yr that is just tarnished?
