What is the black light test? I have only been collecting for 6 months or so, simple terms would be easier haha, and what do you mean by the thread looping?

Original medal, packet and the ribbon looks ok too from these images.

Best to include the name of the decoration in the thread title insead of 'Real or Fake'. It makes life much easier to know what we're going to see and it will appear in the search results should anyone wish to search.

Go with what Adrian says, he knows his stuff.
I got an ultra violet torch from ebay for about £6. It works well. If you shine it on your ribbons in the dark, the white parts apparently should not glow if its wartime.
