Schützenschnur real or fake?

Hello folks,

I know near to nothing about German stuff (except for firearms) but am trying to expand. I have found a few decorations at an antique shop not far away. I only have one picture I took from outside the case so sorry if it’s not too good. They want $139 for it. Is it real? If not what are some tips to look for? Any help is greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance!!

I'm afraid I can only agree with Bob, difficult to give an opinion on this one photo.
It appears okay, from what I can see.
