IMO, not one I would pursue.
Wait for other opinions though.

I am not happy with the 'happy' eagle's head - normally they look more menacing on Schwerin s-boot badges.
I'd also like to see the crimp marks on the top hook.
I believe this is trying to be Schwerin 2nd pattern 1st variation, heavily aged.
The dots on the makers mark on the reverse do not seem to line up exactly.
And if you try to line up the letters from the top row to the bottom row they don't match to how an original should be.
Here is a thread which shows the Staegemeir fake:
schnellboot abzeichen 2. form from Rudolph Souval
Here is a link to another Schwerin:
Kriegsmarine 2nd Pattern Schnellboot-Kriegsabzeichen by Schwerin , Original please?.
I'm not sure on this one but i'm leaning towards bad, we really need Norm to comment i feel.

For all the reasons stated above I don't like it either.
Plus; I don't know if it is an accepted recognition feature but to me the oak leaves in the wreath of the Schwerin always seem to me to be very "flat" in appearance and these look to have a deeper profile.
Natural wear is random and whilst it tends to be more obvious on the high points the general principle is that it affects areas most prone to friction in use rather than evenly all over the badge as seems to be the case here.
It could be the angle a which the pics were taken (angle is not helpful unless it is irrelevant because the focus is on a small feature such as a hinge pin etc) but the whole thing looks a little thin. Any idea of the weight?
Also, there seems to be rather a lot of gold showing considering the amount of wear.
It's just an opinion as I am not expert in KM badges but this one is not one I would want.
Regards
Mark
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing he cares more about than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature with no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."
Agree there are several similarities - the beak and eyebrow of the bird are similar. Also when you look at the alignment of the top & bottom letters they match this fake.
The alignment is different on the genuine badge.
Interesting that your catch pin looks to be tombak/brass though.

Also a bit heavy at 34.76 grams. Reference shows 3 variations at 30 grams
