Hey guys, this looks legit to me, but I'm not really up on the repro variants of this medal. Opinions? Thanks in advance!

Gentlemen, I merged the threads as one................
Newbie, a perfectly good and original Spanish Civil War campaign medal, with typical Spanish mount.......
Article 8 of the circular order of March 29, 1938:- will be awarded to those who distinguish themselves in operations of war, this decree states that there will be only one class. There are many variants of manufacture/maker. They were made from 1938 up to the early 1990's.
Design:
Medal round, 37 mm outer diameter, 3 mm thick.
Obverse:-circumfrence has Laurel leaves in gold, centre in black, a gilt cross made up of four swords with rising sun in the upper quadrant illuminating a lion, representing Spain in fight with a dragon with a sickle and a hammer upon its body, which represents communism, and the inscription 17 JULY 1936 in the upper left quadrant. The makers mark "EGAÑA" is between sunbeams lower left quadrant.
Reverse:- Victoria eagle in flight holding coat of arms of the Catholic Kings of Spain, Yoke and arrows, symbol of the Falange party, steel helmet, with the legend "Arriba Espana" (Fascist cry "Onward Spain") in black and inscription "Greater Glory of Spain" in Latin.
Ribbon in the national colours with black edge for combatents or green edge for non combatents.
Medals made by EGAÑA Industries, this maker located in Mutriku (Motrico, Guipúzcoa), this company produced military emblems/awards since 1870, the factory relocated to Eibar in 1972, where it remained until it closed in 1991. The medal would of been supplied contained in an plastic wrap, in a simple cardboard box.
As I now collect Spanish medals/awards I need to get one of these !
As far as I know there are no reproductions of these medals.
They were awarded to all who participated in the Spanish Civil War 1936-39 on the Nationalist side (Franco) to all nationalities....Spanish/German/Italian etc, who met the required award criteria. Here are some Spanish replacement medals for Blue Division members I have in my collection......and yes they are genuine and not repros !
Prost ! Steve.
So this is a war time variant?
As I said above, they were made between 1936 and the early 1990's, they were no variants other than different makers, who marked the medal with their name, yours is marked as made by EGAÑA Industries ......as for yours being a wartime/early issue i.e. 1938, I doubt it, looking at its patina and ribbon condition.
Prost ! Steve.
