Just bad photos as far as the cross coloring IMO..
I'd rather be A "RaD Man than a Mad Man "
I think your correct about the ribbon, looks like a reproduction.
as for the cross, there was many makers, or it may be just the bad pictures. Is that burrs on the back of the cross on the ends of the arms and base. And has anyone here got one with the top stroke on the 1 in the date like that.
just out of interest and to add a bit more discussion.

similar Ralph thanks but not quite the same to my eyes. The OP looks as if it comes out half way down the shaft. As I say its hard to tell with the picture. nice cross by the way.

It’s hard to tell from these photos, but the ribbon appears to lack the scalloped edges appropriate for period originals. That in itself isn’t a dealbreaker, as it could easily be replaced if the medal itself proved to be genuine.
Again, the quality of the photos make it difficult to make a call on the medal’s authenticity. Authentic Mother’s Crosses are characterised by a distinctive pebbling under the blue enamel. The opacity of the enamel varies from maker to maker, which makes it harder to see in some cases, but on every genuine example I’ve seen it’s always present, however faint.
To add a casual observation, there appears to be an odd blob of metal at the 12 o’clock position on the central roundel.
